Police raid adoption clinic for allegedly selling children

Prosecutors and police yesterday raided a clinic in Taipei that was allegedly involved in illegal sales of babies, finding six babies and children “living” in the clinic.

The clinic, dubbed “Shihlin HongAn Clinic,” is located on the Chungcheng Rd., in Shihlin District, Taipei. It was raided after prosecutors and police learned that Wang Ching-ming, owner of the clinic, was allegedly engaged in sales of babies at a price of NT$280,000 to NT$350,000 per baby. Wang was accused of using his clinic as an adoption center for abandoned babies while secretly selling babies....
